Lexus x John Elliott: The Ultimate Sneaker Drop
The sneaker market is big. Like, really big. People camp out for days. Drop obscene amounts of money. And treat their new kicks like priceless works of art.
But what if the latest “drop” wasn’t for your feet but for a car? That’s what we proposed for the launch of the first Lexus UX, the luxury compact crossover engineered for the city.

The sneaker market is big.
Like, really big.
Of course, breaking into the sneakerhead subculture is about as easy as squeezing into a pair of Nike Air Max 2 CB94s (if you know, you know). If anyone was going to take us seriously, we needed a partner with some serious street cred—someone like renowned streetwear designer John Elliott.
The result was Sole of the UX, a custom Lexus featuring bespoke, white tires inspired by Elliott’s iconic take on the classic Nike Air Force 1.
Lexus, once synonymous with the suburbs,
stepped confidently into the city.
The vehicle debuted at New York Fashion Week, dominating the headlines, and quickly became a moment. Influencers. A-listers. Runway models. Everyone wanted their photo with it.
Sole of the UX became the most shared post in Lexus history.
More importantly, it shifted perception. Lexus, once synonymous with the suburbs, stepped confidently into the city. Not as a visitor. As a true urban legend.
