Lexus x Anderson .Paak: Remixing the GX for World Music Day
Luxury isn’t just about what you own. It’s about what it unlocks.
To launch the new Lexus GX, we leaned into that shift. Instead of making another car commercial, we created something closer to a cultural moment. For a first-of-its-kind collaboration with Amazon, Lexus partnered with Anderson .Paak, an artist defined by reinvention, to tell a different kind of automotive story.
Shot in the wilderness outside Los Angeles, the film follows .Paak as he reimagines his track “Celebrate” in nature, turning mountains, sky, and starlight into instruments. The GX is not a backdrop. And not a prop. It is a co-conspirator, a catalyst moving him through a creative journey that feels less like a drive and more like a transformation.
Don’t Just Launch a Car, Launch Culture.
Launched on World Music Day, the project unfolded across Prime Video, Fire TV, and Amazon Music, complete with a curated playlist and exclusive content, culminating in a Times Square takeover. .Paak even opened his “Malibu” tour with the film, blurring the line between campaign and concert.
The message was simple. Exceptional things don’t just take you places. They change what’s possible once you get there.
